Happy Jane Austen Birthday, everyone! (Also, Beethoven's birthday. And my mom's, which reminds me I need to go buy her a present before this evening...) I'm so excited today is my day on the big Harlequin Historical Advent Calendar contest. First things first--go to
my website and read the instructions for entering. Your comments here will put you in the running for the grand prize of a Kindle, as well as my own prize of a Cozy Winter Evening--cocoa, china mugs to drink it in, biscuits from my local British supply store, and a signed book! You can have your pick of any of the books on the sidebar of this blog, just let me know which you would like in the comments. (It can be either an Amanda or Laurel book. You can also "Like" my Facebook page, Amanda McCabe Books. And I have another contest going on this blog--just scroll down a couple of entries...)
Good luck, and thanks for visiting!

Ok, so the rules to enter say "let her know which cover from the blog sidebar is your favorite," so as my entry my fav cover is Scandalous Brides. Not even sure why per say (she's not even wearing a blue dress, my fav color), but that is my fav cover of the one's on the side bar.
ReplyDeleteAs for one I would like to win, well, To Deceive A Duke looks like it might be fun.
Thanks for the contest and Happy Holidays!

Hi Amanda,
ReplyDeleteI was going to say that I've never read any of your books but then I looked at your list on your website and realized that I had read some of you signet releases. That was when I was still devouring Regency Romances. I overdosed on them and stopped reading historicals of any kind for a while.
I love the cover of The Snow Queen and Queen Elizabeth's court sounds interesting.
I like "To Court, Capture and Conquer" or "Regency Christmas Proposals." I really like Christmas stories, and I will check out some of your books. They look intriguing-Venice,India? Sounds luscious.

I like the cover to REGENCY CHRISTMAS PROPOSALS. So sweet!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say I like "Regency Christmas Proposals." All your covers are beautiful, but I tend to prefer a whole representation of the head. There was a trend toward headless cowboys, regency ladies, and medieval heroes that was vaguely disturbing... :)
ReplyDeleteI like Regency Christmas Proposals best, it's purty!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite cover is Duchess of Sin.
ReplyDeleteI really like the cover of To Court, Capture, and Conquer.
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda,
ReplyDeleteI liked "To Catch a Rogue's" cover the best 'cause I like to look at the men! ;)

ReplyDeletesmaccall @ comcast.net
I'm going to pick To Kiss A Count.
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess of Sin is my favorite. She's ready for sin no matter from which direction it comes! The Winter Queen is a close second, though. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAll the covers are great, I guess I like "The Winter Queen" the best.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for "Deceive a Duke"
ReplyDeleteI would be happy to receive any book as I am new to them all.
The Duchess of Sin has a clean, modern look, sensual yet tasteful. It stands out from the costume-shop and heaving-bosom covers that have, in my opinion, characterized historical romances for far too long. Uncluttered covers exhibiting some originality and design sense invariably draw my attention; the same old suffocating bolts of musty-smelling fabric, phalanxes of candelabra, and posturing heroes do not. Covers in the latter group all run together for me, and not in a good way. They have the same level of ham-handed, unimaginative ugly.
ReplyDeleteSorry for my bluntness! :) Happy Holidays, Amanda.
To Deceive a Duke gets my vote.
ReplyDeletechey127 at hotmail dot com
My favorite cover is Duchess of Sin and would also be the one I would like to win.
ReplyDeleteI like the cover of "Countess of Scandal." I really like the purple. I would love to win a copy of "To Deceive a Duke."

ReplyDeleteThanks for being a part of this contest! I'd love to win the prize you're giving away and think it's perfect for these chilly winter nights. The book I'd like is To Bed a Libertine for the empowering cover. It's straight-forward and gives a artsy/historical impression.
