Catching up

I just realized it's been almost a month since I posted anything here!  So this is just a quick update on what I'm doing.  (Managing--life stuff mostly, amid watching British murder mysteries for an escape...)

First, what am I writing?  I am finishing up the next Flora Flowerdew Mystery set in one of my favorite places, Venice!  Gondola rides with Flora and her "dukie," haunted old palazzos, dysfunctional old families with a side of murder.  It's been a lot of fun, if a bit of slow going thanks to the aforesaid life things, but I see the finish line on the horizon at last!

Second, I will be at this book event here in Santa Fe on May 30!  If you're nearby, be sure and visit me there and pick up a signed book (Flora or another series, whatever you like...)  There is a deal on eventbrite today for 2 for 1 tickets...

And that's it for now! Stay tuned this weekend for some fun links

Weekend Links

Happy Saturday, everyone!  It's my favorite time of year--almost Halloween!  I love the crisp leaves, the cooler nights, the lovely apples (and apple pies) at farmers market, getting out my (copious) collection of scarves.  And watching spooky (not gory!) movies and reading creepy books (just finished "Small Angels," it was delightfully creepy...).  What are some of your favorites?  Let me know in the comments, and in the meantime here's a few things to read...

(I'm also hoping to have some more "Heroine of the Week" posts soon!  Let me know who you might like to see profiled)

Friday Fantasy Real Estate

I'm still working on an Italian Renaissance WIP, so this week we are going back to Italy for our real estate!  Last week we got our country place in Tuscany, today we get our city place.  A 2-bedroom, 15th century apartment in Venice, right off the Grand Canal.  A steal at 1.5 euro!!!  (please note--my Fantasy Real Estate also comes with Fantasy Restoration Budget, so a place on a Venetian canal is totally OK...).  I love that chandelier.  Couldn't we have some great masked balls there??

Lost Cities

A lost Venetian city! One more reason to dream of visiting Italy soon. I love archaeology!
