Things I Love Thursday
What I love this week--ice skating! The Winter Olympics are coming up in a couple of weeks, and the US Championships just finished, so I'm looking forward to plenty of sparkly costumes, strange music, and amazing athleticism. Yay! (I especially love ice dancing--they're far more likely to have costumes and routines that are just absolutely freakin' crazy than the others--though the men are no slouches in that department, either...)

I too adore Le Figure Skating Amanda. I don't know if you have the Sundance Channel, but they have this new show called Be Good Johnny Weir, about the 3-time US Champion that is absolutely hysterical.
No, I don't get Sundance, and it makes me sad because I've heard such great things about this show! (Plus Weir is such a crazy character...)
OMG, Amanda it totally is. He has this best friend who is so out there it's not even funny, as is Johnny. The scenes where he pretends to be this crazy Russian journalist rival Borat.
This Bollywoodish themed ice dance was one of the o_0 moments for me. I couldn't decide if it was good or not. The style of dancing is just so-so-so different that either you own the choreography or you're imitating. With them, on the dancing, it was imitating, but the skating was fabulous.
Oh, and I have to say, I'm waiting to see Apollo do his thing, too.
