Tuesday

I'm still trying to get over the post-conference doldrums, as well as get caught up on sleep, do some writing, and deal with a sick Puggy, so this will be a short post. :) For your reading pleasure, here's a link to Nora Robert's letter concerning her reasons for backing out of MCing that hilariously, outrageously inappropriate awards ceremony Saturday night. http://www.livejournal.com/users/corrinalaw/9282.html. I just wish the rest of us had been given just a nanosecond of warning, too. I might have fled, despite the fact that I was a finalist. As it was, my liberal-Democrat butt was twitching in its seat.

Wow, I've been reading all about this on other blogs and saw the Nora and Crusie letters yesterday. I just can't believe anyone would have thought that appropriate. Thanks for mentioning it. I was wondering if our group would have a discussion on it. Email me with all the good news from conference.

I have a solution to the perennial RWA Ceremony doldrums: Orlando Bloom and Chocolatinis. Would ANYONE complain about that? Well, except maybe that there wasn't enough Orlando to go 'round. Speaking of Orlando...Mandy, I believe you have a beautiful picture now of Mr. Bloom and yourself. You gonna post it?

Yeah, I saw that picture! Post it, baby!

What was the Crusie Letter?

As soon as I can figure out how (I'm such a techno-idiot), I will post my cherished new photo! And I totally agree that any party can be made better by chocolatinis and Orlando. Of course, it would be MY party, so I would claim first rights... But maybe we could persuade Clive Owen, Gerard Butler, Christian Bale, and whoever else we might fancy to attend, then there would be plenty to go around. :)

You can have Orlando.

I'll take all three of the others. heh heh

Bring them to our lunch thing Saturday.

Psst. If Gena comes Saturday, she can't have any of them. She's a man hog. Remember the whole Hugh incident? I still have the police files.

And what is a chocolatini? Am I missing out on something good or what?

Bring a picture of Brad Pitt, and Gena will be mesmerized for hours - unless it's one of the unsavoury pics I've recently doctored, er, I mean uncovered of Mr. Pitt.

A chocolatini is like heaven in a martini glass, Rinda. You must try one. :)

Well, I had two "Dirty" Martinis last weekend and played with my food.

Maybe I'd have a better reaction to chocolatinis. Heaven in a glass is my kind of thing.
