Almost October

OK, I know I'm getting ahead of myself a bit, but it's almost October!!! This is my favorite month, with the crisp, cool air, the changing leaves, the piles of school supplies and Halloween candy in the stores. And Halloween is my favorite holiday. No presents to buy, no cards to send, no turkeys and pumpkin pies to cook (not that I've ever actually cooked Thanksgiving dinner--I'm just saying). There are just costumes, scary things, and lots and lots of chocolate! What is not to love?

So from time to time this month, I'll be posting some old Halloween pics and a few spooky links. This photo is me with my little brother--I think I was dressed as a character from Little House on the Prairie. And today's link theme--ghosts! Bwahaha!

I love Halloween, too. Every year I go as the same thing: a witch. See, I've got the hat. And the black clothes. And the dark lipstick (left over from my Vixen days). My son is going as the Grim Reaper. With a hockey mask. Don't ask me why.

This is my favorite month, too! We already put out our fall decorations and we even picked fall colors for our walls. Too far? Nah.

This morning, I smelled Fall in the air...

You're right, Rinda--today, for the first time in months, it wasn't 100 degrees outside! It actually felt like autumn. :)

And LOL, Megan! I can't see you as black-clad witch at all... Does the Grim Reaper wear a hockey mask? I always suspected as much. One year, when we were kids, my brother was a killer clown. As if clowns aren't creepy enough as is.

I haven't decided yet what I want to be for Halloween. Or what I want the dogs to be. The planning is the fun part. :)
