Heroine of the Weekend

To go along with Hottie Monday (and show that I am not just shallow and giggly!!) I'm starting a Heroine of the Weekend feature to spotlight fascinating women in history. First up: Madame de Pompadour (1721--1764)--royal mistress, but also intellectual, politician, fashionista, and great patron of the arts...

Right-o. You're now deep and mysterious.

BTW, can you see yourself wearing those yards of clothing (picture 2)? It would drive me bonkers in under an hour.

Deep and mysterious AND silly and giggly. :)

I think it's kinda fun to wear dresses like this for an hour or two--I've never really been able to picture living my life in them, though!

Yeah. I just think about how difficult it was to use the bathroom in my prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, or wedding dress. Then I imagine that on a daily basis.

NO THANK YOU!

LOL Kate! I was just out for a bachelorette evening last night (not mine, a friend's!) and we some girls in their prom dresses trying to walk in those big skirts when it was obvious they had never tried it before. :)
